I get poked and giggle. Then I look at who poked m,e and see it's a shadow. I blink and pause my music. I try to poke the shadow back.

I try to find a happy memory, but my brain has different ideas. As always. Suddenly I'm in a black room. I can't hear anything but my--er, the person who this memory this belonged to--deep breathing. The sound of the beach and the music evaporated into empty space that was lost to me. Cold...It's just so cold...

Scared...The person is scared. Something bad happened. I try to snap myself out of it, but I can't. I hear a door opening, and a small sliver of light falls across the floor. It's only a small amount of light, but it just about blinds me. "Get up, kid," a gruff voice says. The person stands up, afraid of what's going to happen next. But I already know. It's just going to be some kind of torture. I try to snap out of the memory again.
